Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy takes a whole-person approach to healing and the inter-connection of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged. The practitioner typically looks for and encourages the forces of health to set the priorities of the session and to bring about natural adjustments from within the body’s own resources. The therapy creates a safe space for traumatic experiences to emerge and resolve smoothly without being overwhelming or re-stimulating. It is a very gentle and soothing experience.

Massage & Bodywork

Bodywork & Massage treatments are provided by professionals with extensive experience, and who are trained to a high standard. Their out of province certification means they do not issue receipts for insurance. Whether you’re looking for a relaxation massage, deep tissue, or the addition of hot stones or cupping, a custom massage is catered to you and your needs that day.

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy decreases muscle tension, stress and helps alleviate pain. Perhaps less known is the effectiveness of Massage Therapy in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, bones, joints, fascia, blood vessels and nerves. RMTs use clinically relevant assessment tools to design personal, effective treatment plans for patients throughout their life span.

Physiotherapy

I hear your story and take a detailed history. To that end, I create an individualized treatment plan including Continued Care aimed at achieving the functional goals we set together. Treatment may include but is not limited to deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisations and exercise based rehabilitation.

Megan is passionate about Massage Therapy as a way of recovering from both acute and chronic injuries and pain, and of fostering integration between physical and emotional health. She graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy with Honors in both practical and academic classes and has pursued further courses focused on joint mobility, the treatment of spinal nerves and sport massage. She enjoys working with athletes of all levels and understands how a healthy, pain-free body is a fundamental part of any active lifestyle. Her treatment style is slow and deep, with an emphasis on balancing specific, therapeutic techniques with full body relaxation.

Megan is a Candidate Member with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association and is pursing full certification as a Sport Fellow. She is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and enjoys coaching the Revelstoke CrossFit community several days a week.

Michelle completed her BSc Physiotherapy at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia in 2008. She is also a fully certified Stott Pilates instructor. Since graduating, Michelle has focused on her passion for outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the last 11 years.

A key feature to her practice relies on a strong background in biomechanics and movement analysis. The focus of her manual treatment and clinical pilates approach is to restore normal movement patterns to the body for optimal function and recovery.

She saw the potential in fusing her traditional rehabilitation exercise prescription principles with pilates techniques. The blend of the two has the potential to enhance client outcomes, shorten client recovery times and aided in future injury prevention.

Along with her active rehabilitation in the pilates studio Michelle has post graduate training in anatomical acupuncture/ dry needling techniques, myofascial cupping, mulligan’s mobilizations, K- Taping along with spinal and peripheral joint mobilizations.

Since making Revelstoke her home in 2020, Michelle loves to spend as much time as she can in the mountains and on the water with her husband and son.

Meet Ty, massage practitioner and private yoga instructor based in the heart of Revelstoke. Picture this: Eight years ago, I plunged into the world of massage therapy, health and wellness in the crisp air of Northern Alberta. From the start, I was captivated. Helping people achieve physical and mental balance is truly fulfilling to me. Life led me to the vibrant community of Revelstoke. Here, I found a community of like-minded individuals focused on prioritizing their health and well-being. This is where my career as a yoga instructor began and it has become an incredible resource of education and experience to aid in the relief and recovery of clients who come to see me. It’s not just about fixing things temporarily, it’s about embracing life fully every day and having a healthy body to enjoy all this world has to offer. Let’s talk business. My approach to massage and yoga isn’t just about manipulating muscles or bending bodies. It’s about understanding the intrinsic connections within the body. Using modalities such as myofascial chain therapy, cupping and active/ passive stretch therapy. These techniques are game-changers in achieving optimal health and wellness. Here’s the thing: I’m all about customization. No two bodies are the same, so why should their treatment plans be? I tailor each session to the individual client, adapting every stretch and massage stroke to their unique needs and goals. I believe it’s absolutely crucial to help educate and empower my clients with science-based knowledge, helping them grasp the “why” behind our sessions. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, looking to enhance athletic performance, or simply craving a moment of relaxation, I’ve got your back (quite literally). Let’s embark on this journey to optimal health together, shall we?

Mayuko is a certified practitioner of Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy through Body Intelligence, and originally from Japan. The concept of BCST is that the body knows how to heal itself, using touch. In a BCST session, she listens to the body’s voice using calm hands to provide stillness, safety and relief, as touch is a primal communication for humans. This helps the body to relax and enter a calm state, and leads the body to its own healing path. She felt this shift and relief within her own body during her first BCST session. From this experience, she is inspired to support people who have difficulties in their body and mind, by repositioning their health and power within them.
